Where does your wood come from? The process of scavenging and restoring antique lumber has always been a sustainable facilitator of unique home designs. In Alan Solomon and Klaas Armster’s new book, Reclaimed Wood: A Field Guide, the authors are interested in how modern design can be “brought to life” through the “beauty and rarity of old woods.”

This room was designed by Tara Mangini and Percy Bright of the Jersey Ice Cream Co. They use reclaimed wood in order to create bold focal points.
