Seasoned designers, April and Gizem were able to guide the homeowners toward choices that best fit their goals for the space. Instead of a traditional white or stain that might clash with the wood flooring, they chose soft sage paired with a taupe beige for the simple Shaker-style cabinets. “The neighborhood has lots of trees, so we took inspiration from that,” April says. They chose a quartz countertop that brings the color palette together and adds to the earthy feel. For lighting, Edison bulbs paired with birdcage enclosures are a perfect addition that add an updated and trend-forward feel.
Bringing together classic elements with a touch of trendy, this kitchen now provides a more open, calming and functional space for entertaining friends and family.
