Beth Hunter is a mom and

the voice behind the blog and social media accounts Home Stories A to Z. Her blog contains a bit of everything, from decorating trends and DIY home improvement and decorating tutorials to craft ideas and easy recipes. Here’s her story.

American Farmhouse Style: How did you get involved in the farmhouse community?

Beth: I started my blog back in 2008 and have always been intentional about connecting with fellow bloggers. I have really enjoyed getting to know so many new friends in our niche over the years inperson at conferences and brand events. The blogging community in general is filled with the most amazing people, who continue to enrich my life daily!

AFS: I’ve always loved your blog name— how did you come up with it?

Beth: My blog is a bit of a variety show focused on the arts of homemaking. My readers can expect a little of everything about the home when they visit me. My blog name is also a nod to my two boys, Asher and Zephan, who are the A to Z behind all I do!

AFS: Has your home always had a country/ farmhouse style, or has it evolved?

Beth: My decorating style is forever evolving as my tastes develop and mature. While I value and appreciate a wide variety of decor styles, the decorating styles falling under the umbrella of “cottage” have always felt more like home to me and probably always will.

AFS: What’s your favorite room in your house and why?

Beth: I absolutely love our patio, and from early spring until late fall, you will typically find me working outdoors. Our patio is decorated with very neutral furnishings, which allows me to completely transform the look of the space as my mood dictates.

AFS: Is there anything exciting you’re working on coming up that you’d like to share with our readers?

Beth: I have some upcoming room makeovers that I plan to tackle this year that I’m very excited about! Our primary bathroom is on the list of rooms I plan to make over before year’s end. We also have a cute shed on our property that will soon be receiving an exterior makeover!
