Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this traditional Southern colonial house in Canton, Georgia, has been home to blogger Amanda Becker of Sincerely Marie Designs for nearly five years. Having tackled a fixer-upper before, Amanda and her husband, Josh, weren’t afraid of putting in some work. “All the bones were there. It has a beautiful antique oak mantel, and all the cabinets in the kitchen were solid wood. It’s got beautiful white oak hardwood floors,” Amanda says. The classic style of the house is the perfect canvas for this blogger’s timeless Christmas touch.

NOT YOUR AVERAGE COOKIE-CUTTER

Amanda is an old soul with an eye for classic Christmas décor. Her style stands not only the test of time but also that of the fastpaced world of design. “I think I get my love of antique and vintage things from my grandma,” she says. “I would go to her house, and she always had some of the coolest old things, especially at Christmastime.” Amanda was inspired to search for vintage Santa Claus figurines and remembers her grandma setting out a few cheery Saint Nicholas figures during the holidays. The time, effort and love the Becker family pours into this house is what makes it so magical during the Christmas season.

Our Christmases were always very simple as far as décor, and I have used a lot of that in my decorating. I don’t like clutter, and I do like simple, classic things.”
