A party stylist extraordinaire shows how to capture the spirit of spring in this daisy and gingham themed tablescape.
Spring has sprung at this delicate and cheery brunch hosted by Andressa Hara, the owner of Twinkle Twinkle Little Party Blog and Twinkle Twinkle Little Party Magazine. The party stylist, whose work has graced the pages of all the big entertainment blogs and websites, was inspired by Martha Stewart’s Spring Collection. She says, “I fell in love with the daisy pattern and the combination of bright yellow and teal. As usual, I keep my setups simple so you can recreate them on your own to celebrate at home with your loved ones. ”You can find all the DIY tutorials and recipes for this happy party on Andressa’s blog.
PRETTY PLACES
Bright yellow gingham and daisy-patterned plates are the focal point for this sweet tablescape. “They stole my heart,” Andressa says. To add more dimension to the plate settings, she layered the patterned plates with white ruffle plates. The gingham plates also coordinate with the Martha Stewart party banner that Andressa hangs behind the table. Each place setting creates a personalized little bit of happy for the guests as they sit down to enjoy conversation and yummy eats.

FRESH FLORALS
Andressa always includes fresh blooms in her tablescapes and cuts costs by sourcing them from her local supermarket (“I go first thing in the morning so I can get the freshest flowers,” she says). To match the pretty paper supplies, she put together mini flowerpots. The petite pots make darling centerpieces, especially when several are spread down the center of the table. The good news? These delightful flowerpots double as party favors. Any guest would be thrilled to take home fresh flowers as gifts. Simply add a warm message to say thank you for coming.
SWEET EATS AND DRINKS
Having sweet treats available is helpful, especially if there are kids around. You can’t go wrong with sparkling maple lemonade and powdered-sugar donut holes. Andressa serves the donuts after the main course when guests just want to relax, drink some tea or coffee and nibble on something sweet. “And they can use the portable cups to take a few for the ride back home as well,” she adds.
Whether you’re hosting a baby shower or Mother’s Day brunch, this tablescape is sure to fill each guest with the happy spirit of spring.
