RECLAIMED WOOD

-

Reclaimed wood refers to wood that has been saved from old structures. “We’re in an old mill town in Northern Maine, and our water site is where we recover lost logs left behind from the log drives of the early 1900s,” says Sandi Burns of Timberchic. Reclaimed wood comes in a variety of shapes and sizes, but Timberchic makes it easy with wood planks you can DIY yourself for feature walls, to cover your mantel or kitchen island, or even the ceiling. When choosing wood planks, make sure they go with the other wood tones in your home, such as hardwood floors and furniture.

INSIDER TIP: Make sure you get samples before deciding on a color. “This is the great thing about being a small company and what I think is our best asset; besides the quality and cool factor, Timberchic’s service is first and foremost,” Sandi says.
