Did you know?
The 12 days of Christmas isn’t just an annoyingly long song—it’s actually a season celebrated by the Christian liturgical calendar. Starting Christmas day (or sometimes December 26), it lasts until the feast day known as Epiphany, which celebrates the visit of the wise men to the toddler-aged Jesus Christ. The last evening of the season, called Twelfth Night, is also a familiar reference, thanks to the Shakespearean comedy of the same name.
