VINTAGE BOTTLE BRUSH TREES

are making a comeback. I remember my family putting these little trees in their homes during the holiday season when I was growing up. A few years ago, when I decided to do a very merry vintage Christmas theme for my décor, I knew I wanted to add vintage bottle brush trees.

HUNTING

Starting with vintage markets and yard sales, I found them tucked down on the bottom shelf or in a box of old Christmas decorations. Who knew one Christmas tree theme would inspire me to start this collection? Bottle brush trees have a unique look that can vary in shape and size. There are skinny ones and others that are filled with old-school glitter. My favorite place is to pick them up from a yard sale, because they tend to be the really old ones with unique looks.

ACQUIRING

Each tree varies in price, depending on how it was made. The bottle brush trees that are wire on a wood block typically vary from $2 to $8. I tend to favor the ones that are in the unique wood-based range from $10 to $15. These beauties can make your Christmas décor take you back in time to those good-old childhood memories.
