SPANISH ROMANCE

Just as the interiors of the Villas are transforming, so is the exterior. Sara gets us up to date on what’s happening around the property.

• SITTING PRETTY.

Most the Villas will feature 12x12 brick patios, compliments of Cherokee Brick. “I already have a vision for how I’ll style them—they’ll have outdoor furniture and string lights hanging from the trees,” Sara says.

• FRESH PAINT.

Sherwin Williams Wool Skein was Sara’s choice for the exterior paint color, but it wasn’t quite right for the structures. Sara had it darkened 50% for the ideal shade that captures the historic feel of the Villas.

• STUCCO REFRESH.

“We redid the stucco on all the Villas,” Sara says. The old stucco and paint were scraped off. Once it was a smooth surface, the team added a new base coat of stucco. Then, they layered hand-plastered stucco on top of that, which gives a beautiful textured finish to the exteriors.

• SHUTTER STYLE.

The windows are new and in need of the perfect frame. “The Dogberry Collection shutters are gorgeous and very close to the original look,” Sara says.

Every aspect of the Villas is thoughtful, from the silverware in the kitchen drawers to decorative metalwork supports like this piece over the doorway. It’s a curving design that immediately hearkens to the old-world Spanish style architecture throughout the property.
