Through June 23, the Whistler House Museum of Art presents The
Allure of Venice. The exhibition showcases the work of New Englander Walter F. Lansil and other 19th century painters of the canal city. During the 1880s, Lansil found his richest inspiration and enduring subjects in Venice. At the same time, James Mcneill Whistler found himself within the city.the maritime works are curated by the museum in partnership with Fry Fine Arts.
