WICHITA ART MUSEUM
Ongoing at the Wichita Art Museum is An American Salon.
Inspired by the salon style of the French Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture. Paintings by the Academy’s students were hung as close as possible, from floor to ceiling.the exhibition in the museum’s Carlene and Lee Banks Rotunda Gallery has been transformed into an American version, featuring 19th century paintings from the museum’s permanent collection.
