Open­ing Novem­ber 28, Epic Ab­strac­tion: Pol­lock to Herrera at the Met Breuer ex­plores large-scale ab­stract painting, sculp­ture and as­sem­blage be­gin­ning in the 1940s and con­tin­u­ing on through the 21st cen­tury. Mas­ter­pieces from icons of Ab­stract Ex­pres­sion­ism like Jack­son Pol­lock and Louise Nevel­son will be shown in con­ver­sa­tion with lesser known works from in­ter­na­tional artist, such as the Hun­gar­ian artist Ilona Ke­seru. a gallery of works by the next gen­er­a­tion of artists, in­clud­ing Ellsworth Kelly and Frank Stella, will also be on view.
