The Crocker Art Mu­seum has an­nounced an on­go­ing ex­hi­bi­tion of 41 land­scape and still life paint­ings from Cal­i­for­nia artists, cre­ated from the 1870s to 1940s. Na­ture’s Gifts: Early Cal­i­for­nia Paint­ings from the wendy will rich Col­lec­tion in­cludes de­tailed de­pic­tions of the Sierra Ne­vada scenery along­side Bar­bizon-in­spired and tonal­ist land­scapes.the early Cal­i­for­nia art­works man­i­fest a pro­found sense of place, af­ford­ing a unique op­por­tu­nity to con­nect with the land for those who ex­pe­ri­ence it.
