AMON CARTER MUSEUM OF AMERICAN ART

With luscious leafy tendrils to stark horizon lines, Hedda Sterne: Printed Variations at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art celebrates the artist’s variety of formal interests. Though Sterne is most often associated with the “Irascibles,” who were avant-garde forerunners to abstract expressionism, she defied categorization.the exhibition, on view through January 27, 2019, features two thematic series completed by the artists at the Tamarind Lithography Workshop in 1976.
