REFLECTIONS OF LEFTY

Anglers Journal - - MAIL -

Lefty Kreh was as fine a man as he could be [“One of a Kind,” Spring 2018]. His contributions to fly-fishing are legend. His quality as a man, as a citizen, transcend even those.

Lefty’s passing brought to memory some other fly-fishing giants of his generation whom I was privileged to know: Leon Chandler, one of the finest gentlemen our sport has had; Joan Wulff, the grande dame of fly-fishing; and Bud Lilly. Although not a Montanan by birth, Bud became the icon of Montana fly fishermen. Godspeed Bernard Victor Kreh.
