Anniversary Shout-outs from Industry Friends

Animation Magazine - - Tv -

Happy birthday, Copernicus! It’s been a pleasure working with you all on various projects over the past few years. Your passion for the art of animation, your level-headedness, vast experience and global approach are what make you such a trusted and go-to partner in our ever changing industry. To the next 15!”

Lindsay Watson, animation producer, CANUK Productions

I first met Paul, Murray, Juan Cruz and the Copernicus team while working on our Riding Shotgun animation project back in the day with Gail Berman and Andy Weil. We had Michael Davis direct the short film, and some great voice actors, but ultimately the network at the time (Spike TV) passed on it, and eventually put the short on Youtube, ending up with millions of views. Through the years since then, the Copernicus guys became good friends as well as colleagues. Their creativity, integrity and honesty are the main reason for their success — they deliver what they promise! And Murray’s beard is legendary — Canadian through and through!”

I find Paul and his very talented team an absolute pleasure to work with. I feel there is a strong synergy between the way Copernicus is run and the way Camilla and I run Lupus Films. We have the same business ethics and creative taste which is essential for any co-production partnership. We are very much looking forward to a fruitful Canadian co-pro with Copernicus on our next production, My Big Red Head, and we congratulate them on their anniversary year.”

Ruth Fielding, joint managing director, Lupus Films.
