7 sc = 2 inches; 8 sc rows = 2 inches Take time to check gauge.

Pat­tern Notes

Weave in loose ends as work pro­gresses. Chain-1 at be­gin­ning of row does not count as first sin­gle cro­chet. Join with slip stitch as in­di­cated un­less other­wise stated.

As­sem­bly

Weave in ends and block pieces lightly if needed. Us­ing taupe and ta­pes­try nee­dle, sew holder to cup beg ap­prox­i­mately 5 rows up from bot­tom of cup. St around sides and bot­tom of holder, leav­ing the top of holder open. Sew but­ton to holder as pic­tured with taupe. At­tach a length of taupe from the back of the cup at the lid to the front and around the but­ton, ad­just­ing for length, and tie or knot in the back of the cup. •
