• Red Heart Scrubby Cot­ton prints medium (worsted) weight cot­ton yarn (3 oz/121 yds/85g per skein): 1 skein #7960 blush­ing print (for Flower)

• Size H/8/5mm cro­chet hook

• Ta­pes­try nee­dle

• Stitch marker

• 18-inch length of em­broi­dery floss to match Scrub­bie

Flower

Rnd 1: With tulip pink, ch 4, sl st in first ch to form ring, (sl st, ch 3, tr, ch 3) 6 times in ring, join (see Pat­tern Notes) in beg sl st. Fas­ten off. (6 petals)

Rnd 2: Work­ing be­hind petals, join blush­ing print in any sl st, ch 4, [sl st in next sl st, ch 4] around, do not join (see Pat­tern Notes).

Rnd 3: [Sl st in next ch sp, (ch 3, tr, ch 3, sl st) 3 times in same ch sp] around. Fas­ten off.

Rnd 4: Work­ing be­hind petals, join co­ral in any sl st, ch 4, [sl st in next sl st, ch 4] around, do not join.

Rnd 5: (Sl st, ch 3, tr, ch 3, sl st) twice in next ch sp and in each ch sp around. Fas­ten off.

Back

Rnd 1: With blush­ing print, make slip ring (see il­lus­tra­tion), ch 3 (see Pat­tern Notes), 11 dc in cen­ter of ring, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. Pull to close ring. (12 dc)

Folded Square

Row 1: With co­ral, ch 16, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn.

Rows 2–15: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.

Row 16: Ch 1, sc in each st across, chang­ing color (see Stitch Guide) to tulip pink in last st, turn. Leav­ing long end, fas­ten off co­ral.

Rows 17–32: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. At end of last row, change to co­ral. Leav­ing long end, fas­ten off tulip pink.

Next rows: Rep rows 17–32, chang­ing to tulip pink. Leav­ing long end, fas­ten off co­ral.

Next rows: Rep rows 17–32. At end of last row, fas­ten off.

Fin­ish­ing

Fold cor­ners in ac­cord­ing to Fold­ing Diagram( see il­lus­tra­tion). Us­ing long ends, sew edges tog where they touch as you fold.

Spi­ral

Row 1: With co­ral, work 20 foun­da­tion sc (see Spe­cial Stitch), turn. (20 sc)

Row 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in each st across with sc dec (see Stitch Guide) in last 2 sts, turn.

Row 3: Ch 1, sc dec in first 2 sts, sc in each st across to last st, 2 sc in last st, turn.

Row 4: Rep row 2.

Row 5: Rep row 3, chang­ing color (see Stitch Guide) to tulip pink in last st.

Rows 6–9: Rep rows 2–5, chang­ing color to cot­ton in last st of row 9.

Rows 10–13: Rep rows 2–5, chang­ing color to co­ral in last st of row 13.

Rep rows 2–13 once, elim­i­nat­ing color change in fi­nal row. Fas­ten off.

Fin­ish­ing

Sew first and last rows tog.

Run piece of em­broi­dery floss through ends of rows, pull to close, se­cure end.

Rep on rem end.
