Poinsettia Napkin Ring
Set an elegant table for the holidays with these pretty napkin rings. Crocheted in Dk-weight cotton, they are fun and quick to make.
4 inches in circumference
• Omega Sinfonia DK light (DK) weight cotton yarn (31/2 oz/218yds/100g per skein): 15 yds #823 garnet 10 yds #880 green 3 yds #834 gold
• Size D/3/3.25mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
• Yarn needle
6 sc = 1 inch; 7 sc rows = 1 inch
Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.
Picot: Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook.
Napkin Ring Ring
With green, ch 6, join (see Pattern Notes) to form ring.
Row 1: Ch 1, 4 sc in ring. (4 sc)
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across.
Rows 3–19: Rep row 2.
Row 20: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across, ch 4, join in beg sc of row 20. Fasten off.
Row 1: Join red in beg ch- 6 ring, ch 1, 5 sc in same lp. (5 sc)
Row 2: *Ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, 2 dc in next ch, hdc in next ch, sc in next ch, sl st in next sc on ring, rep from * 4 times, join in ring. Fasten off. (5 petals)
With WS facing, rep rows 1 and 2 in ch- 4 lp on rnd 20 on opposite side.
Row 1: With RS facing, join gold between first 2 sts on row 2 of ring, picot (see Special Stitch), *sl st between next 2 sts, picot, rep from * once. Fasten off.
On opposite side, join gold between first 2 sts on row 20 of ring, picot, sl st between next 2 sts, picot. Fasten off.
Rnd 1: With red, ch 10, join to form ring.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, 12 sc in ring, join in front lp (see Stitch Guide) of beg sc. (12 sc)
Rnd 3: Working in front lps, *ch 7, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, 2 dc in each of next 2 chs, hdc in next ch, sc in next ch, sl st in next sc, rep from * 11 times. Fasten off.
Rnd 1: With RS facing, join green in back lp (see Stitch Guide) of any sc on rnd 2 of petal ring, working in back lps only, *ch 7, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, 2 dc in each of next 2 chs, hdc in next ch, sc in next ch, sl st in each of next 2 sc, rep from * 5 times, join in beg st. Fasten off.
Fold the straight piece in half. Insert ends into the center hole of the flower and pull it through until it creates the completed napkin ring.
