• Red Heart Su­per Saver medium (worsted) weight acrylic yarn (7 oz/364 yds/ 198g per skein): 1 skein each #235 le­mon, #256 car­rot, #316 soft white, #376 bur­gundy, #624 tea leaf and #661 frosty green

• Red Heart Clas­sic medium (worsted) weight acrylic yarn (31/2 oz/190 yds/100g per skein): 1 skein #12 black

• Size G/6/4mm cro­chet hook or size needed to ob­tain gauge

• Ta­pes­try nee­dle

• 1/2-inch black but­tons: 4

• 3/8- inch jin­gle bells: 3

• Sewing nee­dle

• Black and bur­gundy sewing thread

• 24 inches of 3/8- inch-wide cord or rib­bon

Gauge

6 sc = 2 inches; 10 rows = 3 inches

Pat­tern Notes

Weave in loose ends as work pro­gresses.

Chain-3 at be­gin­ning of row counts as first dou­ble cro­chet un­less oth­er­wise stated. Join with slip stitch as in­di­cated un­less oth­er­wise stated. Re­fer to photo as a guide for place­ment of but­tons, bells and cro­cheted pieces.

Spe­cial Stitch

Sin­gle cro­chet join (sc join): Place a slip knot on hook, in­sert hook in in­di­cated st, yo and draw up a lp, yo and pull through both lps on hook.

Gift- Card Hold­ers Snow­man Front

Row 1 (RS): With white, ch 11, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (10 sc)

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.

Rows 3–14: Rep row 2; change color (see Stitch Guide) to frosty green at end of row 14.

Row 15: Ch 3 (see Pat­tern Notes), dc in front lp (see Stitch Guide) of each sc across. Fas­ten off. (10 dc)

Back

Rows 1–14: Rep rows 1–14 of Front.

Rows 15 & 16: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. (10 sc)

Rows 17–19: Ch 1, sc dec (see Stitch Guide) in first 2 sc, sc in each sc across to last 2 sc, sc dec in last 2 sc, turn. At end of row 19, fas­ten off. (4 sc)

Nose

Row 1: With car­rot, ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (3 sc)

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.

Row 3: Ch 1, sc dec in first 2 sc, sc in next sc, turn. (2 sc)

Row 4: Ch 1, sc dec in 2 sc, turn. (1 sc)

Row 5: Ch 1, sc in sc. Leav­ing a long tail, fas­ten off.

Pom­pom

With bur­gundy, ch 2, 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join (see Pat­tern Notes) in beg sc. Leav­ing a long tail, fas­ten off.

Assem­bly & Fin­ish­ing

For eyes, with black thread and sewing nee­dle, sew but­tons to Front. With car­rot, whip­stitch (see il­lus­tra­tion) Nose un­der eyes.

With black yarn, em­broi­der 5 French knots (see il­lus­tra­tion) in a smile shape be­low Nose.

Sew Pom­pom to top right edge of Back.

Fold down row 15 of Front to RS and tack in place with beg and end tails. Hold­ing Front and Back with WS tog and side and bot­tom edges match­ing, with white, whip­stitch around 3 sides, leav­ing top edge open to in­sert gift card.

For hang­ing lp, cut 8-inch length of cord or rib­bon and thread through st at top of Back. Tie a knot and trim ends.

Santa Suit Front

Rows 1–14: With bur­gundy, work same as rows 1–14 of Front of Snow­man, do not change color at end of row 14. Fas­ten off. (10 sc)

Back

Rows 1–19: With bur­gundy, work same as rows 1–19 of Back of Snow­man.

Belt

With black, ch 11, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Leav­ing a long tail, fas­ten off. (10 sc)

Buckle

With le­mon, ch 4, join in first ch to form a ring, [ch 1, 4 sc in ring] 4 times, ch 1, join in beg sc. Leav­ing a long tail, fas­ten off.

Assem­bly & Fin­ish­ing

Place Belt on row 4 of Front and with end tail, whip­stitch (see il­lus­tra­tion) in place. Cen­ter Buckle on Belt and with end tail, whip­stitch in place.

With black thread and sewing nee­dle, sew but­tons to Front on rows 9 and 12.

With bur­gundy, whip­stitch Front and Back tog in same man­ner as Snow­man.

Make hang­ing lp same as Snow­man.

Elf Front

Rows 1–14: With tea leaf, work same as rows 1–14 of Front of Snow­man, do not change color at end of row 14. Fas­ten off. (10 sc)

Back

Rows 1–19: With tea leaf, work same as rows 1–19 of Back of Snow­man.

Pointed Col­lar

Row 1: With RS of Front fac­ing, work­ing in front lps, join bur­gundy in first st, ch 3, dc in each st across, turn. (10 dc)

Row 2: Ch 3, dc dec (see Stitch Guide) in next 2 dc. Fas­ten off. Join in next dc, ch 2, dc dec in next 3 dc. Fas­ten off. Join in next dc, ch 2, dc dec in last 2 dc. Fas­ten off.

Belt

With RS fac­ing, join bur­gundy in end of row 4, ch 25. Fas­ten off, knot­ting twice to se­cure. Rep on op­po­site end of same row. Trim ends of yarn close to knots.

Assem­bly & Fin­ish­ing

With bur­gundy thread and sewing nee­dle and work­ing through both thick­nesses, sew bell to each point of Col­lar.

With tea leaf, whip­stitch (see il­lus­tra­tion on page 45) Front and Back tog in same man­ner as Snow­man.

Tie Belt pieces tog in a bow at cen­ter of Front, tak­ing care not to pull too tightly so Holder lays flat af­ter bow is tied.

Make hang­ing lp same as Snow­man. 
