Dizmang to discuss PWD over coffee
PALMDALE — Palmdale Water District continues its Coffee with a Director series on Saturday as Division
3 Director Gloria Dizmang will meet with customers in an informal setting.
The gathering will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at Spudnuts Donuts, 2311 East Ave. S.
The first cup of coffee for those participating will be courtesy of the District, and Dizmang will provide doughnuts.
For those unable to attend in person, Dizmang will broadcast on Facebook Live from 10 to 10:30 a.m. on the District’s Facebook page, @palmdaleh2o. Writ
ten questions may also be submitted as Facebook messages for her to answer. This is the fourth such Coffee with a Director gathering offered by the Palm
dale Water District. They are intended as a means for customers to meet their representatives and ask water-related questions in a casual setting.
“Having served previously on the Board, I have found that the best way to represent our community is to get feedback from our customers directly,” Dizmang said. “I invite everyone who is interested in finding out information or has concerns about PWD to join me for a hot cup of coffee and a great conversation about water. I hope to see everyone there.”
An Antelope Valley resident since 1965, Dizmang has spent her entire career in education. She was an educator and administrator for the Antelope Valley Union High School District for 36 years and continues as an adjunct professor for the Antelope Valley College.
She has served as a rent negotiator for the city of Palmdale and as president of the Palmdale Civic Authority.
After serving one term on the PWD Board of Directors during 2011-2015, she was appointed by the Board in April 2019 to fill a vacant seat. Her term will expire in 2020.
Dizmang represents Division 3, which roughly lies between Avenue S to the north, Pearblossom Highway to the south, 70th Street East to the east and 25th Street East to the west.
The fifth Coffee with a Director will feature Division 5 Director Vincent Dino on Nov. 20.
