A piece of the pie

Antelope Valley Press (Sunday) - - Opinion -

I’m confused. If I withdraw funds my bank savings account more than six times in a month, the Fed hits me with a penalty.

One of the reasons for this is to force me to save money; after all, it’s a savings account. I’ve got that part of it. Second verse different from the first. When I reach a certain age, (which I’ve reached) the Fed said certain retirement funds must be “distributed” annually. The right-hand says save. The left-hand says gimme a slice of your retirement pie.

Let’s compound this crime. Because I have a county pension, I lose 75% of my social security. I worked two jobs for years. I paid into social security.

Happy New Year Uncle Sam. Enjoy my pie. Stuart A. Cannold
