For over 22 years, Richard’s Boat and RV Center has made a success of selling boats in the desert. For the fifth year, consecutive, it has been named the Antelope Valley’s Best Boat and Personal Watercraft Dealer.

Opened in 1997 by Richard Wade, Richard’s Boat and RV Center provides service and sells new and used boats, plus travel trailers and campers. It sells new Crestliner, Cypress Cay and Harris boats,

as well as a selection of used family, fishing and pontoon boats.

The company recently built an additional 7,200-square-foot building that will provide easy service access for RV and boat drop-off and pickup. The new building also allowed an expansion of the store to provide a more extensive selection of parts and supplies.

Richard’s Boat and RV Center also sells Lancaster-built Lance truck campers, travel trailers and toy haulers, plus Palomino campers.

The business offers full service and warranty service for all manufacturers and also sells parts and accessories.

For boat owners who want to do their own work, it can supply OEM, or “original equipment manufacturer,” parts. It also sells wakeboards, water skis, tubes and similar gear.

The boating business was a natural choice for the 1986 Quartz Hill High graduate who grew up boating, camping and fishing with his family.

Reputation and service is the reason the business was voted AV’s Best, Wade said.

“I think we’ve established a service record with the local community,” Wade said. “We can match prices on accessories with online catalogs.”
