FUN IN COOPERSTOWN
STRONG COMPETITION — The Aviators Baseball Club 12-and-under team played in a tournament at the AllStar Village in Cooperstown, New York, from July 8-11. The Aviators played nine games and went 3-6 in the tournament. They avenged a 16-8 loss to the Indiana Longhorns, defeat ing them 4-0 in the quarterfinals of the Monster Bracket on a combined one-hitter by Oscar Medina III and Christopher Turpin. The Aviators were going to play in the semifinals of the Monster Bracket against Slammer Avalanche, Colorado, but rain halted the remainder of the tournament.
