Where are the facts?
Over the past year, John Manning has lamented over the deterioration of society. For example, Manning states the “…life expectancy in the U.S. is decreasing and I will add, the suicide and drug overdose rates are increasing.” Additionally, Manning disagrees with the comments that the United States “…is a systemically racist nation… Finally, Manning states that the reasons for the decline is due to the “… polices of the Johnson administration and the identity politics of the Obama Administration.”
Since President Trump won the election and voted in by white males, why are they killing themselves in record numbers? Why are life expectancy rates higher in blue instead of red states? Manning fails to answer the question.
In the age of the Internet, it’s puzzling that Manning believes that the U.S. is not a racist nation: 1. Military: “black service members were substantially more likely than white service members to face military justice or disciplinary action, and these disparities failed to improve or even increased in recent years,” the report stated.” nbcnews.com, Jun 2017. 2. CVS: four former security personnel at CVS Pharmacy stores in New York filed a federal lawsuit in Manhattan, alleging that their loss-prevention supervisors regularly instructed them to tail black and Latino shoppers in particular. https:// www.csmonitor.com/, June 2015
To state the Johnson and Obama administration are responsible for the deterioration of society is incorrect. Manning skips the George Bush Administration
as if it did not happen. That led to a recession and two wars. Obama lowers the deficit and Trump increases it to the point that many economists predict a recession. Middle class (between $50,000-$86,000) average tax cut: $1,900. The wealthy (more than $732,000) average tax cut: $270,000. It is clear that Manning’s opinion is not based on fact.
