LOS AN­GE­LES COUNTY

An­te­lope Val­ley Se­nior Ser­vices and the Santa Clarita Val­ley Com­mit­tee on Ag­ing of­fer meals to se­nior cit­i­zens 60 and older for $3.50 (at the nu­tri­tion sites and for home­de­liv­ered meals) at these lo­ca­tions: An­te­lope Val­ley Se­nior Cen­ter, 777 West Jack­man St., Lan­caster.

Legacy Com­mons for Ac­tive Seniors, 930 East Ave. Q-9, Palm­dale.

Jackie Robin­son Park, 8773 East Ave. R, Sun Vil­lage.

Stephen Sorensen Park, 16801 East Ave. P, Lake Los An­ge­les. Reser­va­tions are re­quired for nu­tri­tion sites ex­cept the An­te­lope Val­ley Se­nior Cen­ter. To make reser­va­tions, at­tend the sites to sign up for the se­nior meal pro­gram. Doors open for re­served clients at 10 a.m. at the Se­nior Cen­ter and Legacy Com­mons, and 10:30 a.m. at Jackie Robin­son Park and Sorensen Park.

A 24-hour ad­vance signup is re­quired for site man­agers to re­serve a meal in your name at all sites ex­cept the Se­nior Cen­ter.

Meals are served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mon­day through Fri­day at the Lan­caster site, 10 a.m. to noon at Palm­dale, and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Jackie Robin­son and Sorensen parks. Cof­fee is avail­able at all sites for free.

Home-de­liv­ered meals are avail­able to seniors who are high-risk and con­fined to their homes. You must be home to re­ceive the meal from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For de­tails, call 661-948-2320.

Beefy na­chos — tasty beef served over a bed of tri-color tor­tilla chips and topped with ched­dar cheese, let­tuce and salsa.

WED­NES­DAY, JAN­UARY 8

Hawai­ian pulled pork sand­wich — pork shoul­der sim­mered low and slow in Hawai­ian fla­vors.

THURS­DAY, JAN­UARY 9

Roasted sal­mon with mango salsa.

FRI­DAY, JAN­UARY 10

Spaghetti and meat­balls.

MON­DAY, JAN­UARY 13

Tuna salad sand­wich — house-made tuna salad served over a bed of greens on an ar­ti­san cia­batta roll.

TUES­DAY, JAN­UARY 14

Pulled pork poutine — pulled pork served over a bed of potato wedges and topped with gravy.

WED­NES­DAY, JAN­UARY 15

Bei­jing beef — Mar­i­nated beef with bell pep­pers and sliced onions, tossed with a tangy sweet sauce.

THURS­DAY, JAN­UARY 16

Choice: Chicken mi­lano or Asian sesame chicken salad.

FRI­DAY, JAN­UARY 17

Le­mon ca­per fish — el­e­gantly fla­vored le­mon ca­per sauce served over an oven-roasted cod.

MON­DAY, JAN­UARY 20

Napa wal­nut chicken salad sand­wich — ap­ples, grapes, chicken and cel­ery on an ar­ti­san cia­batta roll.

KERN COUNTY

The Kern County Ag­ing and Adult Ser­vices of­fers meals for se­nior cit­i­zens at Rosa­mond, Cal­i­for­nia City and Te­hachapi. Rosa­mond: Hummel Hall, 2500 20th St. West, 661-256-0557.

Cal­i­for­nia City: Cal­i­for­nia City Se­nior Cen­ter, 10221 Heather Ave., 760-373-4585.

Te­hachapi: Te­hachapi Se­nior Cen­ter, 500 East F St., 661-822-6255. Meals are $2 for seniors 60 and older, $5 for non­se­niors. Reser­va­tions are re­quired and must be made at least one day in ad­vance.

All meals in­clude mar­garine, de­caf­feinated cof­fee and milk.
