Event slated to discuss mental health and help
PALMDALE — A discussion of the intersecting roles of mental health and faith-based organizations is planned for Saturday at Christ Church of the Valley, 2714 East Ave. R.
The event will be 8 a.m. to noon at the church. The event will be presented by Christ Church of the Valley with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health.

Panelists will include Pastor Vaughn Winters of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Palmdale, Pastor Corey Saxton of Christ Church of the Valley, Co-Pastor Dorelle Arnwine of Prevailing Word Christian Church in Lancaster, Dr. Jason Plunkett of Zoe International in Santa Clarita and Pastor Billy Nettles of The Highlands Christian Fellowship in Palmdale.
The event’s organizers said the goal is to create dialogue among service providers, faith-based organizations and friends and families of people with mental challenges.
