Town Council to hear clean power presentation
LAKE LOS ANGELES – Representatives from the Clean Power Alliance will present information at Tuesday’s Lake Los Angeles Rural Town Council meeting.
Allison Mannos and Alicia Gutierrez, from the Clean Power Alliance’s Marketing and Customer Engagement Department, will be available for questions after the presentation.
The Clean Power Alliance is a joint powers authority created by Los Angeles County, which includes 29 cities, including Alhambra, Calabasas, Downey, Hawthorne and Simi Valley, as well as unincorporated parts of Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
Clean Power Alliance is not a utility but rather a community aggregator. It buys electricity from various producers and sells it to homes and businesses. Southern California Edison delivers the electricity through its own lines, which it maintains, also bills customers.
The Lake Los Angeles Rural Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. in the Lake Los Angeles Community Gymnasium at Stephen Sorensen Park, 16801 East Ave. P.
