Town Coun­cil to hear clean power pre­sen­ta­tion

LAKE LOS AN­GE­LES – Rep­re­sen­ta­tives from the Clean Power Al­liance will present in­for­ma­tion at Tues­day’s Lake Los An­ge­les Ru­ral Town Coun­cil meet­ing.

Al­li­son Man­nos and Ali­cia Gu­tier­rez, from the Clean Power Al­liance’s Mar­ket­ing and Cus­tomer En­gage­ment De­part­ment, will be avail­able for ques­tions af­ter the pre­sen­ta­tion.

The Clean Power Al­liance is a joint pow­ers au­thor­ity cre­ated by Los An­ge­les County, which in­cludes 29 cities, in­clud­ing Al­ham­bra, Cal­abasas, Downey, Hawthorne and Simi Val­ley, as well as un­in­cor­po­rated parts of Los An­ge­les and Ven­tura coun­ties.

Clean Power Al­liance is not a util­ity but rather a com­mu­nity ag­gre­ga­tor. It buys elec­tric­ity from var­i­ous pro­duc­ers and sells it to homes and busi­nesses. South­ern Cal­i­for­nia Edi­son de­liv­ers the elec­tric­ity through its own lines, which it main­tains, also bills cus­tomers.

The Lake Los An­ge­les Ru­ral Town Coun­cil will meet at 7 p.m. in the Lake Los An­ge­les Com­mu­nity Gym­na­sium at Stephen Sorensen Park, 16801 East Ave. P.
