Genesis posts 14 in top 3 at Lady Luck
The Genesis Gymnastics teams traveled to Las Vegas for the national Lady Luck gymnastics meet, where they competed against teams from all over the United States, and came home with 14 gymnasts in the top three all-around spots.
In the excel silver division, Gia Baker took gold in the all-around with a score of 37.40, placing first on vault and floor, and fifth on bars and beam. Right behind her in second place was Caylee Wood with a 37.325, placing first on bars, second on floor, third on beam and eighth on vault.
Brooke Mann took fifth in the all-around with a 36.075, placing fourth on bars, sixth on beam and seventh on floor. Avery Copeland was sixth in the all-around with a 35.80, placing fourth on beam and sixth on vault and bars.
Ava Allen was ninth in the all-around with a 35.65. placing seventh on vault and eighth on beam. Soleil Rodriguez was 10th in the allaround with a 35.60, placing second on bars, fifth on floor and seventh on vault and Iris Allen was sixth on bars. The team finished in fifth place.
The excel gold team took a second-place team finish with Maya Miccio leading the way with a second-place all-around finish with a core of 37.40, placing first on floor, second on beam, third on vault and fourth on bars. Nalaya Perry took third in the all-around with a 37.20, placing first on bars, second on vault and sixth on beam and floor.
Lily Cain was third in the all-around in her division with a score of 37.15, taking second on bars, third on beam, fifth on floor and seventh on vault. Isabella Elliott finished fourth in the allaround with a 36.925, placing first on vault, fifth on floor and sixth on bars and beam.
Lauren Dace was second in the all-around in her division with a 36.80, placing first on vault, bars and floor and seventh on beam. Riley New was ninth in the all-around with a 34.925, placing first on beam and 10th on vault and bars. Grace Williams took eighth on bars and floor and Kimberly Hernandez was 10th in the all-around with a 34.875, placing fourth on vault and sixth on floor.
In excel platinum, Rebecca Study led her team with a 36.20 for a third-place allaround finish and placed first on vault and floor, fifth on bars and seventh on beam. Hailey MacLeod took fourth in the all-around with a 35.50, placing first on vault, third on bars, eighth on floor and ninth on beam. Adia Luke finished ninth in the all-around and placed fifth on floor, sixth on beam and seventh on vault.
The level 7 team brought home a second-place team finish led by Avonlea Davis, who scored a 37.275 for second in the all-around and finished first on bars, second on vault, third on floor and fourth on beam. Jasmine Chao was first in her division with a 37.00, placing first on bars, second on vault and floor and sixth on beam.
Cambria Davis was second in her division with a 36.925, placing second on floor and vault and third on beam. Ashley Saunders took fourth in the all-around with a 36.55, placing second on floor, third on vault and fifth on beam.
Brianna Fischenich was sixth in her division with a 36.50, placing second on bars, seventh on vault and beam and ninth on floor. Leigh Spinelli was third in the allaround with a 36.425, placing third on vault and bars, fourth on floor and sixth on beam. Summer Teichert was second in the all-around with a 36.225, placing first on bars and floor, third on vault and fifth on beam. Sadee Duarte took seventh on vault, eighth on floor and ninth on bars.
In level 9, both Katie OMara and Marley Namm took third place in the all-around. Katie scored a 34.875, placing second on vault, bars and beam and sixth on floor and Marley placed third on floor and fifth on bars and beam and sixth on vault.
