Lancaster Aglow Lighthouse host to Apple Valley pastors

LANCASTER — Lancaster Aglow Lighthouse will play host to Billy and Isabel Simpson, pastors of Spirit Life Church and Spirit Cafe in Apple Valley, during an event at 9:45 a.m. today at Medrano’s Mexican Restaurant, 44270 10th St. West.

The Simpsons have led worship at churches and conference­s all over Scotland, England and the U.S. as well as being worship pastors for more than 30 years. They began Spirit Life Church three years ago. They also lead Spirit Cafe, a prayer ministry outreach in Apple Valley. Isabel serves on the Aglow Area Team.

Event cost is $11 per person, which includes a buffet lunch.

‘A Gathering of the Pioneers’ presentati­on set

PALMDALE — New Freedom Christian Assembly, 38733 Ninth St. East, Units J and K, will be the site of a presentati­on of the play “A Gathering of the Pioneers,” the weekend of Feb. 22 and 23.

Shows are planned for 2 and 7 p.m. Feb. 22 and 4 p.m. Feb. 23.

Tickets are $15, with seniors and students charged $12.

PEARBLOSSO­M — A community luncheon is offered from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Pearblosso­m Community United Methodist Church, 34143 126th St. East.

Volunteers needed for visits to Antelope Valley Hospital

LANCASTER — Antelope Valley Hospital is looking for volunteer chaplains to address patients’ spiritual needs or to serve through intercesso­ry prayer Monday through Friday.

The hospital welcomes volunteers who demonstrat­e a genuine interest in providing spiritual support for their neighbors in an interfaith healthcare setting.

Entries are limited to special events, as opposed to routine services and meetings in the church.
