‘Abnormal’ lifestyle

-

Last month, Mr. Dennis Tope wrote that “… when well over 50% of Black kids are raised without a father to guide and point them in the right direction, what do you think is going to be the outcome from poor family upbringing? I’d say it would be tough for blacks to transition to a normal lifestyle”

According to Fathers. com, in 2012, …57.6% of black children, 31.2% of Hispanic children and 20.7% of white children are living absent their biological fathers. (“The Extent Of Fatherlessness”).

It is hard to understand what Mr. Tope means by Blacks transitioning “…to a normal lifestyle.” According

to Rolling Stone magazine, “…many of society’s plagues strike heavier at women and minorities, but suicide in America is dominated by white men, who account for 70 percent of all cases.” “All American Despair”, May 2019.

Regarding murder-suicides, “…most people who commit murder-suicide are non-Hispanic white males who kill their mates or former mates.” “Men Who Murder Their Families: What The Research Tells Us,” www.ncjrs.gov. Finally, a University of California Riverside found that “… divorced men and women are at a higher risk of suicide than married men and women”, “Suicide Rates High In Divorced Men,” https://mensdivorce.com

Black suicides are low despite facing society’s plagues such as systemic racism. Suicide rate is high for white males. How is white lifestyle “normal?” Whites like you need to learn from us.

An anomaly: “MasterChef Jr.” Season 6 contestant Ben Watkins was diagnosed as having angiomatoid fibrous histiocytoma, a soft tissue tumor that typically occurs in children and young adults. He is one out of six people in the world to have this. Watkins lost his father and mother in a murder-suicide back in 2017. He is only 13 and Black. Too bad we can’t learn from him due to his “abnormal” lifestyle. Vincent White
