Spike is a high-energy dog that could do work on his people skills. Chance is a two-year-old, neutered male pit bull. He is a play group regular since he does well in the play yard with other dogs, but he prefers the calmer dogs. He has a playful puppy like quality about him and always solicits attention from individual­s passing by his kennel. He seems to know the “sit” command and is very treat oriented. Sadie is an approximat­ely two-yearold spayed gray pit bull that has been at the Palmdale Animal Care Center since Sept. 30, coming in from the field. Sadie is a medium energy dog that could do work on her social skills with other animals. She’s a sassy dog that knows what she wants. Poppy is a five-year-old, female, gray pit bull. She began her stay at the Lancaster Animal Care Center shy and timid, but her happy-go-lucky personalit­y is starting to shine through as she walks on lead with a prance and loose wagging tail. In play yard she did not appreciate attention from playful dogs, so it is required she goes to a home with calm dogs if there are any. If there are children, they must be eight years old or older. April is approximat­ely two-year-old spayed tan German shepherd that has been at the Palmdale Animal Care Center since Oct. 30, coming in as a stray. April is a medium energy dog that could do work on his people skills. She also could use more socializat­ion with other dogs just to let her know that she can make some friends without being hesitant with them and some training on her basic manners. Frida is a five-month-old female brown tabby. Frida’s previous owner surrendere­d her due to an injury and the subsequent medical costs. She is quiet and calm. She seems to be extremely friendly and happy to just cuddle in a lap and be pet. She will need some extra care due to her previous injury, so she is looking for her guardian angel.
