The Antelope Valley Press is seeking material to publish in its 14th annual AV Scrapbook special section.

We want readers to submit old photographs from years past, of longtime Antelope Valley families, historic Valley events, famous visitors, movie shoots, former businesses and business people and well-established businesses thriving today.

The inaugural AV Scrapbook, published in 2007, was an overwhelming success, with the Valley Press collecting more than 300 photos.

The 2009 AV Scrapbook was expanded to include stories about Valley history. The 2021 AV Scrapbook is set to publish June 27. To submit photos and memoirs by email, send them to jgarcia@avpress.com Please put “AV Scrapbook” in the subject line. To submit by mail, send to:

P.O. Box 4050, Palmdale, CA 93590. Mailed and emailed photos should include information about when and where they were taken and people in the photos should be identified, if possible.

To submit in person, drop them off at the front desk of the Valley Press, with all information included. We are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and are located at 37404 Sierra Highway, Palmdale. Make sure you include your contact phone number and email address, so we can get in touch when the photos need to be picked up.

The submission deadline is June 4th.
