72, passed away peacefully at his home on July 12, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. He was a loving and caring Husband to Melodie for 43 years who preceded him in death, Father, grandfathe­r, and great-grandfathe­r. He was born in San Diego, Calif., at Balboa Naval Hospital on June 7, 1949 to Tony and Mary Ventroni. He is survived by his 3 children – David (Cindy), Jennifer Clevenger (Damon), and Kevin (Kellie), 9 grandchild­ren – Jasmine, Xavier (Mona), Cylvia Cruz (Johnny), Nicole, Garrett, Sabrina, Justin, Emily, and Ryan, 3 great-grandchild­ren – Rowan, Xander, and Xavier II.

Robert served as a Master Chief Petty Officer (E9) in the United States Navy/Navy Reserves where he dedicated his life to the United States for over 25 years, which included two tours of duty during the Vietnam War. He also worked as a Principal Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin Skunk Works for over 35 years. Robert also was an active member of the Elks Lodge and the Knights of Columbus. He was also active in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America for 20 years. He served as a Eucharisti­c Minister at St. Mary’s Church in Palmdale, Calif. Robert was an amazing AYSO referee and mentor to his grandkids and many others.

Robert was the ultimate family man who loved nothing more than being with his family. He will always be loved and truly missed by his entire family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Services will be held at the Chapel of the Valley mortuary, Palmdale, CA on July 22, at 2:00 p.m.
