God’s loyal servant, Gerald (Jerry) Gibbs of Lancaster, Calif. peacefully passed away surrounded by his wife and children on September 1, 2021.

Gerald was born on October 4, 1942, to Okley and Kathleen Gibbs in Omaha, Neb. He grew up in Omaha with his four siblings, Okley, Robert, Kathleen and Bruce. Gerald graduated from Cathedral High School in Omaha.

After graduation, Gerald married the love of his life. Sherri Lynn Sims and they went on to have four

children, David, Gailyn, Barbara and Kathleen (Dolly).

Gerald was the owner of Roto Rooter in the Antelope Valley for over 30 years before retiring.

Gerald was an honest, hard worker, determined to provide for his family. He loved his family, the Nebraska Cornhusker­s football team, his “babies” Angel

and Fluffy and he loved the Lord. Gerald was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for over 38 years.

Jerry loved camping and fishing every summer at Mono Village in Bridgeport, Calif.

Gerald was predecease­d by his father Okley, his mother Kathleen, his niece Heather and his brother Bobby. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sherri,

son David (Marian) Gibbs, daughters Gailyn Cohen, Barbara (Ray) Goodwill, Kathleen (Roger) Binford, sister Kathy Nemitz, brothers Okley (Katie) Gibbs,

Bruce Gibbs, grandchild­ren Lindsay (Jeff) Lovins, Laura Gibbs, Candice Winn, Chelsea Worthingto­n, Peyton Binford, Hunter Binford, Ryann Gage, Evelyn Cohen, great-grandchild­ren Kayleen, Elijah, Finn, Samantha, Justin, Braxton, Hazel, Kaiden, Rogue and Crue and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Memorial service will be held Friday September 10, at Sacred Heart Church

in Lancaster, Calif; rosary at 1:30 p.m. and Memorial at 2:00 p.m.
