Animal ID No.: A5358801 Animal name: Pepper

Pepper is a two-year-old spayed female gray pit bull that came to the Palmdale Animal Care Center on Nov. 25 as an owner surrender, as her previous owner can no longer care for her. Pepper is a friendly, happy-go lucky-dog that loves attention. She was easy to handle and allowed being examined by the clinic team. During her play yard time, she showed a happy demeanor, soft eyes and natural ears with high tail wags. Her handler was able to loop a leash on her easily, and she was excited to go out for a walk. As she entered the pen, she was relaxed and had a neutral tail wag. She greeted other dogs and began to offer a play with another female dog. She explored the yard and from time to time checked in with her handler. She showed a push-and-pull play style chasing dogs around the pen. She stopped from time to time to greet other dogs coming in to the yard. She loved chasing other dogs and showed to be social with all the dogs in the yard with her. Pepper displayed good high energy that could make her a great running partner. She will do well in a home with active lifestyle. She is good with other dogs and is friendly and tolerant being around them. She loves seeking attention and affection from her handler. Pepper is recommended to be in a home with children eight years and older. Animal ID No.: A5444051 Animal name: Billie

Billie is a one-year, two-month-old gray spayed female pit bull that came to the Palmdale Animal Care Center on Oct. 7 as a stray. Billie is easy to handle, and she showed to be friendly with the clinic team and her handler as well. During his time in the play yard, Billie was excited as she was approached by her handler. She was jumping on her gate with alert ears, excited eyes and raised hackles and a neutral tail wag. As the runner opened the gated, it was harder to leash her because she was so excited that she pulled almost running to the pen. Although she was excited, she gave gentle greetings to the dogs coming to greet her in the play yard. She loved chasing them but then would stop and check in with her handler. Billie could benefit from more socialization, leash walking, and a behavior training. Billie would do well in a home with middle school-aged children and with calm dogs in the home. To meet Billie, use the link and follow the instructions on how to create self-scheduling visit at the center: https:// linktr.ee/; https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/ all-visits-to-the-animal-care-center-are-by-appointment-only/
