Rancho Vista queens crowned

LynAya Gipson, 16, the daughter of Michelle Peevy, of Palmdale, was crowned Miss Rancho Vista, on March 13, at Esperanza Elementary School.

She is a junior at Highland High School. She is on the dance team and Link Crew, and is the vice president her school’s chapter of Best Buddies.

Her future plans include attending a Southern California university and obtaining her bachelor’s degree. She would like to pursue a career in either the tech world or medical field.

Elexia Jimenez, 10, the daughter of Veronica and Alejandro Jimenez, was crowned Young Miss Rancho Vista, on March 13, at Esperanza Elementary.

She is a fourth-grader and enjoys singing, dancing, playing board games and spending time with her family.

Her future plans are to become a veterinari­an.

Kaylee Crumlish, 16, the daughter of Rachael and David Crumlish, of Lancaster, was crowned Teen Miss Rancho Vista 2022, on March 13, at Esperanza Elementary School.

She is a sophomore at Quartz Hill High School and participat­es in varsity cheer, ASB and AVID.

Her future plans include majoring in kinesiolog­y or forensics.

Aurora Aguilar, seven, the daughter of Kayla and Jared Aguilar, of Lancaster, was crowned Little Miss Rancho Vista 2022.

She is a second-grader at Blue Ridge Academy and is a member of the Frog Aquatics Swim Team and a gymnast at Genesis Gymnastics. She loves to draw and paint and build creations in minecraft.

When Aurora Aguilar grows up, she would like to work with animals as either a rescue owner or animal conservati­onist protecting endangered species.

Nichole Wilson, 11, the daughter of Joseph and Brittney Wilson, of Palmdale, was crowned Junior Miss Rancho Vista.

She is a fifth-grader at Blue Ridge Academy and is a competitiv­e gymnast at Genesis Gymnastics, where she also volunteers. In her free time, she enjoys fostering kittens, spending time with her family, gardening with her grandma, doing crafts, making new friends and playing outside with her best friends.

Wilson wants to be a gymnastics coach when she grows up and to own a cat rescue and sanctuary.

Penelope Avila, five, the daughter of Jason and Jessica Avila, of Quartz Hill, was crowned Tiny Miss Rancho Vista 2022, on March 13, at Esperanza Elementary School.

She is a TK student at Del Sur Elementary and is on the bronze team at Genesis Gymnastics. She loves cooking, baking and drawing. Her favorite activity is spending time with her family.

When she grows up, Penelope Avila wants to be a gymnast because she loves gymnastics and her coach.
