Rocket is a two-year-old, tan-and-black male German Shepherd that came to the Lancaster Animal Care Center as an owner surrender on Oct. 16. He greeted the runner at the kennel gate with a low tail, soft eyes and relaxed body. He was easily loop leashed and walked with no pull on the leash. He was wary of dogs trailing him and would look back with concerned eyes and a tucked tail. Rocket is required to go to a home with at least middle school-age children. Calm dogs are recommended.
