BUTLER, Robert

April 12, 1933 - Nov. 1, 2022 Tarzana — Robert Fletcher Butler April 12, 1933 Nov. 1, 2022.

We are sad to announce the passing of Robert F. Butler (Bob, Bobby, Daddy, Dad, Daddy Bob or Mr. Butler) who passed away at the age of 89, peacefully in his home surrounded by family, with the love of his life by his side on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022 in Tarzana, Calif.

Services will be held at Eternal Valley Mortuary on Nov. 21, at 2:00 p.m.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents Robert Lee Butler, his mother Ruth Casey Butler, his sister Anne, his son Nedrick Butler, his grandsons Cormac Roth and Kristjan Wooten and his greatgrandson Gavin Raceles. He is survived by his wife and the love of his life Joanne Butler, his sons Jimmie and Skippy, his daughters Leslie, Kimberle and Nikki; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Daddy served his country as the youngest Master Sergeant in Korea from 1950-1953.

He was the owner of Forrest Machining Inc. an aerospace manufacturing company in Valencia Calif. until his retirement in 2021.

His love of anything mechanical led him to start a second business, Grand Classic Coach, where he restored many vintage Ferraris, muscle cars and whatever looked like a fun challenge.

He owned Butler Ranch in Moorpark, Calif. where He raised Beefalo for many years and found peace in the land.

Our parents loved to travel to Europe together where they would spend hours strolling through historical museums.

In the last months of his life, his character, kindness and sweetness stayed at the forefront of who he always was. He would share beautiful stories of his life with humor and continued daily, to ask about his grandchildren, loving to hear what they were doing, with a huge smile expressing how proud he was of all of them.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
