LANCASTER — Volunteers are sought to join other Christians and pro-life advocates to participate in Antelope Valley 40 Days for Life — 40 days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion — through March 24.
Participants will stand and peacefully pray during the 40day vigil in the public right-of-way outside of FPA Women’s Health Clinic, 43845 10th St. West, Suite 1E, Lancaster; and Planned Parenthood, 533 East Palmdale Blvd., Suite 533A1.

First Church of Christ, Scientist’s Reading Room sets spring sale
LANCASTER — The Christian Science Reading Room at First Church of Christ, Scientist, 44802 Fern Ave., is having a sale with 20% off everything in stock and 50% off all CDs, starting March 24 and continuing through May 12.
The Reading Room is a bookstore and library at the east entrance of the building, open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. There is a wide selection of Christian material, including Bible story books and posters for children, and inspiration for anyone’s spiritual journey in a variety of languages.

Volunteer chaplains wanted at Antelope Valley Medical Center
LANCASTER — Antelope Valley Medical Center is looking for volunteer chaplains to address patients’ spiritual needs or to serve through intercessory prayer Monday through Friday.
The center welcomes volunteers who demonstrate a genuine interest in providing spiritual support for their neighbors in an interfaith healthcare setting.
