Cabot Lions annual book sale is Friday
CABOT — Members of the Cabot Lions Club will be at Centennial Bank on West Main Street on Friday selling hundreds of books to raise funds for their club. These funds will be used toward the purchase of vision-screening devices for Cabot schools, provide eyeglasses and surgeries to Cabot area residents who cannot afford them, and provide diabetes education and environmental projects.
“Money raised on Friday will enable the Cabot Lions to meet pressing needs in our community. Lions members thank everyone who contributes to our important mission,” said Jackie Jones, project chairperson for the book sale. “You are truly helping Lions make a difference in our community.”
Jones will accept donations of books during regular business hours at 205 W. Pine St. Call (501) 628-5401 for more information on making book donations.
The Cabot Lions Club meets the first and third Thursdays of the month from noon to 1 p.m. at the Diner Restaurant in Cabot. Lions Clubs are groups of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs.
