CONWAY — Cecilia and Howard Chandler will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday with a reception at their home. The couple were married May 2, 1942. She is the former Cecilia Bailey and retired from Osco Drug. He is retired from the Arkansas State Police and the state Crime Laboratory. They are the parents of Dan Chandler of Hot Springs Village and the late Lynn Chandler. The couple have one grandchild.
ALEXANDER — Betty and Albert Blacklaw celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Saturday with a reception and lunch at Allsopp Park. The couple were married April 25, 1952. She is the former Betty Pilcher and retired from the marketing department of Smith Fiberglass Products Inc. He is retired from the U.S. Army Reserve and from The General Cos. They are the parents of Deborah Ball of Maynard; Susan Jones and Mona Kaye Blacklaw, both of Little Rock; Gary Blacklaw of Bauxite and Gregory Blacklaw of Benton. The couple have 12 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren.
Jackie and Jim Wallace of Little Rock celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday at a reception with family and friends in Conway. The couple were married April 20, 1962. She is the former Jackie Boss and is a piano teacher at Immanuel Baptist Church. Wallace is retired. He is retired from the Cooperative Extension Service, Arkansas Farm Bureau Federation and the state Plant Board. They are the parents of Jennifer Lowe of Oxford, Miss. The couple have four grandchildren.
