Pickles Gap Village

Local attraction preparing for a new start

- 315 Hwy. 65 N. • Conway 501-932-0884

The Pickles Gap Village is going through some positive changes for the spring and summer. The former owners from “way back when” — 1985 to 2008 — are back and cleaning house.

The quaint shopping spot is looking to become a hot area again along U.S. 65 in Conway with some places already running and more looking to open soon.

One place that is making a comeback is the Pickle Barrel Fudge Factory. The shop, which is being operated by Ralph and Janis Mack, offers homemade fudge that is freshly made with real butter in a variety of delicious flavors — so many flavors, you can hardly wrap your mind around it. A variety of Arkansas products are ready for shipping.

Customers will be able to enjoy delicious appetizers and entrees from the Pickles Gap Cafe again when it reopens within the next few weeks, along with various specialty shops that offer everything from knives, candles and gifts to antiques and more.

Vendors, crafters, locals and others are invited to bring their yard sale items and join the fun at Pickles Gap Village on trade days, which will be on the first Saturday of each month, starting June 2. For more information, call Laura Wilkerson at the New Directions Shop at 501-556-7181.

Local musicians are also encouraged to stop by and do a little pickin’ on the porches on any Friday or Saturday.

The Village will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5: 50 p.m. Monday through Saturday and is closed on Sundays.
