Sewing Center, etc.
Store suits all stitching needs
One of the oldest of the textile arts, sewing is the craft of fastening or attaching pieces using stitches made with a needle and thread. To carry on this long-standing craft and make it easy for residents to enjoy, look no further than the Sewing Center, etc. in Conway.
The licensed Bernina dealer has everything in one location — sewing products, service and repair on all machines by trained technicians; and classes on learning and perfecting sewing, quilting and embroidering skills.
“[I want] customers to feel excited with the quality and features of our Bernina machines [and] comfortable and confident regarding our products and services,” said owner Shirley Blythe, an experienced seamstress.
The store’s products include high-quality Bernina sewing, quilting, embroidery and serger machines and quilt frames; luggage carriers, accessories and software; Bernina, Schmetz and Organ needles; Horn and Fashion sewing cabinets; Isacord and Mettler threads; Benartex Fat Quarters and Charms; Oklahoma Embroidery & Design designs and stabilizers; Gingher scissors; and a variety of other brands of bobbins and machine parts.
The Sewing Center, etc. makes it easy to get any machine problems fixed. They offer service and repair on all brands of machines, usually within two days, Blythe said, by certified, trained technicians.
“[You] can download OESD and Bernina embroidery designs/design collections to USB flash drives for use with any brand embroidery machine,” Blythe said.
Customers can learn the ropes with Bernina educator Lisa Veith on Tuesday, May 22 from 1:30 to 6 p.m. Call the shop to make reservations.
