MARGARET COOPER BENHAM JUSTIN THOMAS DAVIS
Margaret Cooper Benham, who goes by Maggie, and Justin Thomas Davis were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 5, in First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Karen Akin of Second Presbyterian Church officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Suzanne and James Benham, 3 Biscayne Court. She is the granddaughter of Ann and the late Paul Benham II of Marianna and Frank and Gillette Mcclain of Texarkana, Texas.
Libby Westcott of Little Rock and Robert Davis of Georgetown, Texas, are the parents of the groom. His grandparents are Alma and the late Hughbert Davis of Granbury, Texas, and Michelle and the late Jack Seabloom of Benton.
Two large arrangements of mango calla lilies, burgundy carnations, green orchids and orange roses decorated the chancel. Music was by organist Scott Seidenschwarz.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a pale ivory strapless gown and carried a bouquet of calla lilies, carnations, orchids and roses.
Caity Graham of Little Rock was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Dale Anne Hudson of Lookout Mountain, Ga.; Erica Gurley and Halley Beard, both of Little Rock; Heather Allen of Arlington, Va.; and Meghan Farrell of Anchorage, Alaska.
They wore black cocktail dresses and carried bouquets similar to the bride’s.
Jonnathan Davis of Little Rock was best man. Groomsmen were Dion Rowlett, Jeffry Richmond, Andrew Penna, Eric Rios, Sean Duggan and Sean Ryan, all of Little Rock.
A reception in the Arkansas Arts Center’s lower lobby and courtyard followed the ceremony. Guest tables held tall vases filled with wedding flowers.
The bride graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a bachelor’s degree in business marketing, advertising and public relations. She is employed in property management for Weidner Industries.
The groom received a bachelor’s degree in engineering from UALR and is a project engineer for Mccarthy Construction Co.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will live in Midland, Texas.
