DEANNA MICHELLE DORROUGH JAMES SKIPPER RAY
Wedding vows were exchanged by Deanna Michelle Dorrough and James Skipper Ray at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 5, in Christ Episcopal Church. The Rev. Kate Alexander officiated.
Parents of the bride are Phyllis and Col. David Dorrough, 22 Mcgovern Drive. Her grandparents are the late Melba and Thomas Henderson of Trumann and the late Alice and Norman Dorrough of Hot Springs.
Paula and Cary Ray of Cabot are the parents of the groom. His grandparents are Mary Hardcastle and the late Orville “Jack” Hutchins, both of Jacksonville, and the late Lucille and James “Skipper” Ray of North Little Rock.
The altar held two arrangements of calla lilies, monstera leaves, tea leaves and lily grass. Maggie Martin and Mason Martin of Cabot were program attendants.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a diamond-white strapless duchessesatin gown embellished with beaded embroidery. She carried a bright pink bouquet of Gerbera daisies, hypericum, hydrangeas, roses and tulips.
Serving as the bride’s honor attendants were Molly Anderson of Fort Worth and Dr. Kathryn Rowland of St. Louis. Bridesmaids were Emilee Maddox of Carrollton, Texas; Natalie Brown of Hot Springs; April Hicks of Austin; Michelle Trevino of Buffalo, N.Y.; and Andrea Kruchinski of Lexington, Ky. They wore black A-line gowns with glacier blue sashes and carried bouquets of fuchsia stock and hypericum.
The groom’s honor attendants were Jeremy Wilson and Matt Martin, both of North Little Rock. Groomsmen were Jason Smith of Jonesboro; Hastings Hanshaw of Frisco, Texas; Todd Martin of Cabot; Justin Dorrough of Little Rock, brother of the bride; and Joe Mike Meier of Floyds Knobs, Ind.
Guests were seated by Blake Walker and Casey Henderson, both of Jacksonville, and Jonathan Luedloff and Donald Friday Jr., both of Little Rock.
A reception in the Junior League of Little Rock Building followed the ceremony. The buffet held a tall cylinder filled with Granny Smith apples and topped with daisies, hydrangeas, tulips and lilies. Guest tables held arrangements of the same flowers in various containers. Music was by The Rockets.
The bride has a bachelor’s degree in history and environmental studies from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she was a recipient of the Clara Yates Endowed Environmental Scholarship. She received a juris doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law and is an assistant general counsel for the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission.
The groom received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. He also received a juris doctorate from the UALR law school. He is a lawyer and partner at Wilson and Associates PLLC.
The couple will live in Little Rock after a honeymoon in St. Maarten.
