Claire Lynch Band presents Bluegrass Monday concert
The Claire Lynch Band — singer-songwriter Claire Lynch; Bryan Mcdowell, mandolin and fiddle; Matt Wingate, guitar and mandolin; and Mark Schatz, bass — will perform for Jonesboro station KASU-FM, 91.9’s Bluegrass Monday concert, 7 p.m. Monday at the Collins Theatre, 120 W. Emerson St., Paragould.

Wright Flight
Pianist Miho Sasaki will join the Fort Smith Symphony and conductor John Jeter for Michael Schelle’s Wright Flight, a 2003 concerto commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brothers’ first flight, for the orchestra’s 2011-12 season finale, titled “Flights of Fantasy,” 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Arkansas Best Corp. Performing Arts Center, Fort Smith Convention Center, 55 S. Seventh St., Fort Smith.
The program will also include Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun by Claude Debussy and the Enigma Variations by Edward Elgar.

Woolf at the door
The William F. Laman Library and the Arkansas Repertory Theatre team up to screen Who’s Afraid of
Virginia Woolf, the 1966 film starring Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, at 6 p.m. Monday at the Main Library, 2801 Orange St., North Little Rock.
The screening is part of the “Reel Classics With the Rep” series, which connects classic films to Rep productions — in this case, the musical Next to Normal, onstage through May 27. Director Nicole Capri will discuss the show and the connection she sees to the movie and the Edward Albee play on which it was based. Admission is free. Henry V auditions
The Rep will hold auditions for its production of William Shakespeare’s Henry V, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the theater, 601 Main St., Little Rock.
The auditions are open to Equity and non-equity actors, with a rough age range of 20-55. Auditioners should prepare a two-minute Shakespearean monologue.
The lead roles of Henry and Katherine have been cast. Still-open roles (most actors will be cast as multiple characters) include:
The dukes of Exeter, Westmoreland, Salisbury and Marbury, who are King Henry’s military advisers (Exeter is also Henry’s uncle)
The dukes of Clarence, Gloucester and Bedford, Henry’s younger brothers
The aging king of France and his headstrong and overconfident son, the Dauphin
Commoners Pistol, Bardolph and Nim
Mistress Quickly (Pistol’s wife), Alice and Isabel
The Queen of France
An ensemble of other characters, soldiers and members of the English and French courts.
Robert Hupp directs. Rehearsals begin Aug. 14; production dates are Sept. 7-23. All actors are paid; actors of all ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to audition.

High school musicals
Musical productions at two east Arkansas high schools have received nominations for the Orpheum Theatre’s 2012 High School Musical Theatre Awards.
Wynne High School’s production of Seussical the Musical received nominations for “Outstanding Scenic Design Tier II” and, for the fish puppets in that show, for “Outstanding Artistic Element.”
Shekinah Graham, who played Sour Kangaroo in Marion High School’s production of Seussical, is a nominee for “Outstanding Supporting Actress.”
