EXPO ENCOURAGES PUBLIC TO ‘Think Local’

-

Mark your calendar, gather your colleagues, and grab a stack of business cards and mailing labels — the 16th annual Jacksonville Business Expo is just around the corner. On May 17, central Arkansas businesses will unite at the Jacksonville Community Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to showcase their products and services to the public.

This year’s Expo theme, “Think Local,” will feature vendors exhibiting their businesses while encouraging attendees to eat, play, shop and buy local. Last year, more than 3,000 people attended the event.

There is no cost to attend the Jacksonville Business Expo; however, you can purchase “Expo Bucks” that may be used in exchange for food from this year’s taste booths, or the tickets can be placed into a drawing for the grand prize, $1,000 to spend with Jacksonville local businesses. taste-booth vendors will include the Bar B Que Shack, Western Sizzlin and Yarnell’s Ice Cream.

“Anyone who is interested in learning what is new in the business world, new in their banks, new programs at our higher educational intuitions, should attend,” said Amy Mattison, CEO of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. “We will also have politicians. Come on out and find out what they stand for.”
