Jacksonvil­le home robbed; 1 arrested

A Jacksonvil­le man was arrested late Wednesday night after he was identified as one of three men who robbed a residence at gunpoint, police said.

Officers responding to a burglary call Wednesday night in the 600 block of Charlotte Circle in Jacksonvil­le spoke with a witness who said he saw three men wearing black running down the street and that one of the men was carrying a flat-screen television, according to reports.

The witness told police the men fled in a Chrysler convertibl­e, reports state.

Police then spoke with a resident who lives on Charlotte Circle who said that shortly before 11 p.m., three men forced their way into his residence and demanded money. When the man said he didn’t have any money, one of the suspects pointed a handgun at him, according to reports.

The men fled with about $30 in cash, a cell phone, some jewelry and a television.

A short time later, police stopped a suspect vehicle in the area of Southeaste­rn Avenue. Two men fled the vehicle, but police arrested one, identified as Johntae Henry, 19, of 135 Roosevelt Road in Jacksonvil­le, an arrest report states.

He was charged with aggravated residentia­l burglary and theft of property.

Henry was no longer in the Pulaski County jail Thursday night. His release informatio­n was not immediatel­y available.
