Daniel Cross of Bristol, Tenn., has been charged with receiving or concealing stolen property after officers responding to a call about a domestic incident discovered 30 stolen street signs, two traffic barrels and two traffic cones in his house, police said.

Randy Bratton, police chief in Corsicana, Texas, said a newborn boy is in stable condition at an area hospital after the child, wrapped in a towel and pillowcase, was stuffed in a handbag and abandoned near a home on a night when temperatures dipped into the 40s.

Jason Sullivan, 41, was shot with a stun gun by a security guard at Tom Cruise’s Beverly Hills, Calif., mansion and then arrested on suspicion of trespassing after he was found climbing a fence to get onto the grounds, authorities said, adding that Sullivan was intoxicated and lived in the neighborhood.
